Dear Reader,

I’m writing to you from my back deck, soaking up the sunshine like a little lizard. Summer is on the horizon here in LA and I am ready to dive in!

It’s been a BIG month, I celebrated the launch of Exquisite Corpses, took some interesting meetings, joined the Labubu craze (I have 3, this must stop), wished Disneyland a happy 70th Birthday, had a blast at Free Comic Book Day at Arsenal Comics and chatted with Tiffany Babb about the making of Bad Blood at Comic Con Revolution.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! I’ve also been working on some freelance gigs and another personal project which I’ll go into more detail about below. In addition to these I’m also working on new products for SDCC— I’m tabling in artist alley this year and I’m going BIG for it, I’ll release my catalogue a couple of weeks before the show and all left over stock will be available online after!

The Seance

I am excited to share the VERY early stages of my new project with Bad Blood game designer Nick Cotton we are tentaivley naming ‘THE SEANCE’. 'The Seance', similar to Bad Blood is a deck of cards accompanied by a narrative and high stakes mystery for players to solve.

Four college students set out to summon demons to vanquish their woes, each demon requires a small sacrifice from the summoner, a mundane every day object. One of the demons they have listed requires a deck of cards as their summons— a trick object! The demon uses the cards to trap the students and any other supernatural being nearby into the deck, giving them the power to resurrect themselves. You, the players are coming in as a demon hunter, with the aim to vanquish the trickster demon using the ancient demon handbook and notes left behind. Similar to Bad Blood you are looking for clues on the cards and notes in the game journal to find the right demon. However if you vanquish the wrong demon, everyone inside the deck dies and you grant the trickster immortality.

Below are some of the initial drafts for the project! I’ll be sharing more as everything comes together. We are hoping to launch the Kickstarter in late July / early August.

Chicago Magic Lounge Poster

Last month I received an email from Magician, Jeff Thomson asking if I had some time to design a poster for his upcoming appearance The Chicago Magic Lounge.

Jeff wanted a poster design that not only captured his playful magic style but one that celebrated the city of Chicago. Together we crafted a design that encompass the cities most iconic landmarks and some classic magic tricks.

I was honoured to get to bring this to life!
